Funiu town

Funiu Town, Dongpo District, Meishan City, adjacent to the East Bank of Minjiang River, is located at the east end of the second Minjiang River Bridge, facing Meishan new area across the river in the West. It was under the jurisdiction of Mindong new area of Meishan City in 2013. Nowadays, provincial highway 351, Mindong Avenue, minhei Avenue and other trunk roads run through the area, and the living area is expanding and the population is increasing. It has formed a new urban pattern of University City and cherry blossom Expo Park.

On December 10, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of administrative divisions of some towns in Meishan City (cfzm [2019] No. 13): Land Township, Fusheng Township and Jinhua Township were abolished, and the administrative areas of original land Township, Zhongfu village of original Fusheng Township and Hedong community of Taihe Town were put under the jurisdiction of Funiu Town, and the people's Government of Funiu town was stationed at No. 9 YingYuan road.

Funiu town is located in the east of Dongpo District, Meishan City, covering an area of 85.03 square kilometers. It is adjacent to Fusheng Township in the East, Chongli town in the south, Minjiang River in the west, Meishan City and Taihe Town across the river, and Tudi Township in the north.

There are 7 schools in the area, including 2 public junior middle schools and 2 primary schools, 1 private vocational and technical college, 2 kindergartens and 2 health centers
