Shanglong Township, subordinate to Longzhou County, Chongzuo City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the north of Longzhou County, adjacent to Shangjin Township in the East, Longzhou town in the south, Wude Township in the West and zhubu Township in the north. In the third year of Yongzheng (1725) of the Qing Dynasty, the province of Longzhou was abolished and divided into two chieftains, Shanglong and Xialong. The chieftain of Shanglong first ruled Fengcun, Shanglong township. In 1950, Shanglong township was renamed Longquan Township, belonging to Wude District of Shangjin county. In 1953, Longquan Township was renamed Shanglong Township, belonging to the Fifth District of Longjin county. In September 1958, Shanglong township was incorporated into Wude commune. In August 1987, it was changed to Shanglong township. As of June 2020, Shanglong township has jurisdiction over six administrative villages. The Township People's government is stationed in shanglongwei village.
