Liangyaping town is located in the upper reaches of the Erdu river. There is no record before the Ming Dynasty. In 1696, the county was divided into seven districts. Liangyaping was divided into two districts (including Shuidong). In 1736-1795, it was called liangya township. In the 18th year of the Republic of China, the county was divided into seven districts. Gaomingxi was the Second District, and liangyaping was the second district. In the 21st year of the Republic of China (1932), there were several sections or regiments under the district. The second district governed 16 regiments, and liangyaping was under the jurisdiction of 16 regiments. On July 1st, the new county system was implemented, with 17 townships and 1 township The original two towns were divided into three townships, namely Yonghe Township, Ruihe township (including Zhongdu and Yanxi) and Xianghe township. On September 20, 1949, liangyaman was liberated and still called Ruihe township. Liangyaping people's commune was established in October 1958.
