Putaojia township is located in the Middle East of Lankao County, adjacent to Hongmiao town in the west, Yifeng Township in the South and kaocheng town in the East. North and Yan Lou rural junction. Putaojia township is located in the middle of Lankao County, 19 kilometers away from the county. The township party committee and township government are located in putaojia village. There are four markets in the whole territory, including grape trellis, Hecun, hanxiangpo and Zhaozhuang, which have played a great role in promoting the development of rural economy. With convenient transportation, LAN Cao highway (provincial highway) and Meng Ma highway pass through the territory, and the whole township has achieved the goal of connecting every village with the highway. With the rapid development of telecommunication and telephone, the business hall of China Mobile and China Unicom was set up. In 2001, it was named telephone Township by Henan telecommunication bureau. In 2003, the net income of farmers in the township was 1500 yuan, and the people's living standard was greatly improved.

Name legend

According to the 74 year old man in the village, more than 100 years ago, putaojia village was called houliulou Village (there was a village in the south of putaojia village called qianliulou). When he was very young, someone asked him where he came from. The elderly people in the village also said that he came from houliulou village. At that time, an official road from Shandong Province to Bianliang in Tokyo passed through the village. The convenience of being close to the official road and the village's four meetings every ten days make the village a prosperous market. In the west of the village, close to the official road, there is a family named Hong. In order to support their families, the Hong family dug an earth well in their own land on the south side of the official road, built a simple grape trellis, set up a few small tables, and began to set up stalls beside the official road to sell tea. as time goes on, the business of this family is booming because of its friendly words. Businessmen and pedestrians in the past are willing to have a rest and chat here. So in this section of official road, whenever people meet, they say: "have a rest!" Someone would say, "go ahead and rest under the grape trellis." Gradually, the grapevine became a new signpost for pedestrians on the official road. Later, Liulou village was no longer mentioned by people, and the grapevine gradually became the new name of the village.

The distribution of crops in putaojia township is as follows: wheat and peanuts are widely planted in the township; corn is mainly distributed on both sides of LAN Cao highway, with Dongzhuang, Tushan, chenbukou and putaojia as the main planting areas; cotton is mainly distributed in Wangzhuang, hezhuanghe, Pingfang and other administrative villages, and other villages also have sporadic planting. The special products of putaojia township are hawthorn and apple. Hawthorn is mainly distributed in Huanglong village and chenbukou; apple is mainly distributed in Dongzhuang, Tushan, houyangzhuang, Wangzhuang, Madian, zhuanxiangmiao, nanjiapo, chenbukou and other administrative villages. In recent years, the Party committee and government of putaojia township have actively stepped into the process of agricultural industrialization, promoting the transformation of traditional agriculture to modern agriculture. In Hecun and Dongzhai, a production base of scallion with an area of 300 mu has been built; in Wangzhuang, Madian and Hecun, mushroom production has been vigorously developed.
