Liyang prison

Liyang prison, founded in 1951, was called "the first detachment of the southern Jiangsu labor reform team" and belongs to the labor reform department of the Public Security Bureau of the southern Jiangsu Provincial Administration. In July 1952, the Public Security Bureau of Southern Jiangsu Administration decided to change the name to "state owned shezhu farm in southern Jiangsu". After the establishment of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government in January 1953, it was renamed "the sixth labor reform and education detachment of Jiangsu Province". In 1995, it was officially renamed "Liyang prison in Jiangsu Province". Located in the hilly area of Wuyuan mountain at the junction of Jiangsu and Anhui provinces, it straddles Liyang City in Jiangsu Province and Langxi County (city) in Anhui Province. It is 15 kilometers from east to west and 20 kilometers from south to north. It is a large rural prison with many points, long lines and wide coverage.

In August 2003, the prison was rated as the advanced collective of "anti SARS and ensuring stability" in the prison system of the whole province. In 2004, the prison was rated as the advanced unit of "double zero" index of prison supervision safety of the whole province. The third class merit of the collective was recorded once. In 2004 and 2005, the prison was rated as the winning unit of "three good teams" by the provincial department for two consecutive years, and the second class merit of the collective was recorded in 2005 Once for all.
