Lugang Township
Lugang Township, subordinate to Yongfeng County, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the northeast of Yongfeng County, bordering Daifang Town, Gongfang town and Niutian town of Le'an County in the northeast, Qidu Township in the South and yanpi town in the West. Covering an area of 160 square kilometers, it governs 9 administrative villages and 92 natural villages, including Lugang village, Xiangkou village, Gaokeng village, Guanqian village, Qiancun village, Yushan village, Yangao village, Qingshan village and Luojia village. In late 2018, the 15 thousand and 500 registered residence in Lu Gang Township.
Lugang township is an important and necessary place for Yongfeng county to go to Nanchang in the north, Fuzhou in the northeast, Fujian Province and Zhejiang Province. National highway g322, Fuji Expressway and Changning Expressway run through the whole area from west to East and south to north.

Historical evolution
In 1949, it was Lugang Township, Qingshan Township and Guanqian township; in 1956, Lugang Township, Qingshan Township and Guanqian Township were merged into Lugang township; in 1958, Lugang township was changed into Lugang commune; in 1984, Lugang commune was abolished and Lugang township was restored.

Lugang township is located at the edge of Jitai basin. The terrain is generally high in the northeast and low in the southwest. The area with an altitude of less than 100 meters accounts for about 10%; the area with an altitude of 100-200 meters accounts for 75%; and the area with an altitude of 200-300 meters accounts for 15%.
The soil in Lugang township is mainly red sandstone red soil and argillaceous rock red soil. The second is the red sand mud field, lime mud field and eel mud field along both sides of Lugang River and the lower part of valley.
