Yaowei Township, belonging to Dongxiang District, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the southeast of Dongxiang district. The origin of place names
In the early years of the Qing Dynasty, the small market of Houyuan kiln in the west of the village was moved here. It was renamed yaoxiaji after borrowing the name of the original market. Later, it was changed into Yaowei.
cultural relics and historic sites
Widow bridge is located in Hedu village, Yaowei township. It was built by Hong, Lin wenzan's wife in Ming Dynasty. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Wu juao, a fellow countryman, advocated the reconstruction of a five hole stone bridge, which was 7 meters high, 43.73 meters long, 24.8 meters long, 68.53 meters wide, 3.8 meters wide, and 5 meters long. In 1954, the Dongxiang County government appropriated funds for maintenance. In March 2010, the widow bridge collapsed. In October 2011, Yaowei township government repaired the bridge again.
The former site of the red army building is located in wanshitang village, Yaoxu township. The former site was originally named GUANMEI temple. It was built in the Qing Dynasty, with a brick, wood and stone structure facing east. There are two rooms on both sides. It is 14 meters wide, 19.7 meters deep and 7.6 meters high, covering an area of 275.8 square meters. The lower part of the wall is made of two layers of stone slabs. The stone slabs in front of and above the door are carved with patterns. Regular script is engraved on the stone slabs on both sides of the door, and the door couplets are intact. The temple is decorated with fine patterns. There are 10 slogans written by the Red Army on the South and North walls of Tianjing. Most of the ink is illegible due to age.
