Yafu Street

Yafu street belongs to Chaohu City, Hefei City, Anhui Province. It is adjacent to Qingxi River in the East, Huancheng River and Tianhe River in the west, Yuxi River in the south, Bantang street and Fenghuangshan street in the north.

Evolution of organizational system

It is said that fan Zengchang, a counselor of Xiang Yu, was born in Qishan, also known as Yafu mountain, hence his name. Chaoyang town and Yafu Township were established in 1949, Chaoyang Street neighborhood committee and Yafu commune were established in 1958, Chaoyang Street was established in 1983, and Yafu township was established in 1984. In 1996, Chaoyang Street, with an area of 5.4 square kilometers and a population of 32000, governed six neighborhood committees of Chaoyang, Yanhe Road, railway station, Dongfeng Road, Chaohu Road, dongpaoying and one administrative village of gangling; Yafu Township, with an area of 22.4 square kilometers and a population of 11000, governed seven administrative villages of Yicheng, Qigu, Yaguang, Qilu, Shuqiao, Qianjin and Tuanjie. On April 10, 2004, the original Chaoyang Street in Juchao District was renamed Yafu street, which incorporated the original Yafu Township into the whole system, and governed 7 neighborhood committees and 7 administrative villages. on July 14, 2011, the State Council (Guo Han No. 84) approved to abolish prefecture level Chaohu City, abolish Juchao District, and establish county-level Chaohu City, taking the administrative region of Juchao District as the new administrative region of county-level Chaohu City. The people's Government of Chaohu City at the new county level is located in Woniushan street. The newly established Chaohu City at the county level is directly under the central government of Anhui Province and managed by Hefei city. Yafu street is a new county-level Chaohu City.
