Rongmuda Township
Rongmuda township is under the jurisdiction of Rangtang County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. In 1960, it was established in rilong Township, 1966 in Shengli commune, 1978 in rongmuda commune and 1981 in rongmuda township.

Rongmuda township is located in the northeast of the county. It borders on Qinghai Province and is 30 kilometers away from the county government. It covers an area of 223 square kilometers and has a population of 2162 (2017). The highway passes through. It has jurisdiction over seven village committees, namely, rongmuda, basheng, Jiala, pecking Kun, yageche, Dongwo and xueergai. Rongmuda Township mainly produces highland barley, wheat, pea, broad bean and potato. Cattle, horses and sheep are the main animal husbandry. There is a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit, bangtuosi Shijing.
Zangtang County
It has jurisdiction over 1 town and 11 townships: Ranke Town, Puxi Township, zongke Township, Shili Township, Wuyi Township, gangmuda Township, shangduke Township, rongmuda Township, nanmuda Township, gaduo Township, zhongditang Township and shangditang township. It was established as a county in 1958. Zangtang, a Tibetan language, means "God of wealth dam". It is said that a venerable red Lama once came here to spread Buddhism. He went to a fragrant green grass dam with blooming flowers and settled down. He chanted sutras and preached and donated money to build a temple. The county got its name from this.
Bangtuo Temple
Located on the Bank of zequ River, rongmuda Township, Rangtang County, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province, 32 kilometers away from the county seat. Bangtuo temple in Tibetan means "the temple on Caoba". As the name suggests, the temple is surrounded by beautiful mountains and rivers, the singing of birds and the fragrance of flowers, the hunting of Sutra flags in ancient temples, and an endless stream of pilgrims. The temple is backed by zhanbala mountain, facing Xiangshan and zequ River, a tributary of Dadu River. Overlooking Xiangshan, stretching out a long nose and drinking freely, you can bend the river into a "U" shape. Mount zhanbala stands tall like a statue of god Buddha. The famous Buddhist Tantric practice holy places are Mitha practice cave, immortal cave, Gesar practice cave, and hivara inheritance practice cave. Eight auspicious treasures and seven zhuanwang treasures are distributed among them. It is said that in the 4th century BC, a sage from India came here to practice Buddhism. Bangtuo temple was built in the Yuan Dynasty, covering an area of 10229.4 square meters, with a large scale and unique architectural style. There are more than 200 monks in the temple, all of whom believe in the Red Cross religion and juenong religion. Beside the temple, they lie on their backs. The famous stone carved Tibetan scriptures "ganzhur" and "danzhur" at home and abroad. According to historical records, the stone Tripitaka was carved by more than 60 masons for nine years since the Ming Dynasty. The Tripitaka is 9.7 meters high, 46 meters long and 13 meters wide, covering an area of 598 square meters. It is a rare stone Buddha Hall and Tibetan classics at home and abroad. It is also the most complete stone Tripitaka with high cultural relics and artistic research value. On June 25, 2001, as an ancient building in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, bangtuo temple was approved as a national cultural relic protection unit by the State Council.
