Shanqian street is located in the east of Fuding City, at the junction of urban and rural areas. It is adjacent to Yandun mountain in the East, tongshanxi in the west, Qianqi town in the South and tonglianling town in the north, covering an area of 28.8 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee, more than 5000 households and more than 25000 people. It is one of the important windows of Fujian Zhejiang border.

Historical evolution

Before October 1998, piedmont was under the jurisdiction of Tongshan town and Tongcheng Town respectively. In October 1998, Shanqian sub district office was set up to dispatch administrative agencies for the municipal government. In October 1999, the first Congress of CPC Shanqian street was held, and the first CPC Shanqian Street Committee was elected.

In front of the mountain, it has superior geography, rich resources and convenient land and water transportation. Funing expressway, national highway 104 and provincial highway Shalu run through the whole area. Zengping and Huiyao wharves are responsible for more than two-thirds of the sea transportation and cargo transportation in Fuding City. The main agricultural and sideline products include rice, tea, fruits, aquatic products and vegetables. Now it has been built into a vegetable trade base in the border area of Fujian and Zhejiang. Fuding betel nut taro, a well-known betel nut taro, is native to Shanqian, commonly known as Shanqian Yu. In front of the mountain, there are outstanding people and precious things. There are Yandun mountain, an ancient national defense symbol, a monument to the revolutionary martyrs of Fuding, and the largest aquatic products trading market in East Fujian. The beer produced here has won the Paris international gold medal. Zengping fishing fire was one of the five beautiful sceneries of Fuding. At present, there are 6 municipal units, 5 municipal enterprises and 52 township enterprises in Shanqian street, and the tertiary industries such as automobile maintenance, accommodation and catering are in the ascendant.
