History of construction

At the end of the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the four capitals of Linru Township, Linchuan County, Fuzhou Prefecture.

In the 16th year of the Republic of China (1927), it belonged to changkai Lianbao, which was subordinate to the eighth District of Luozhen; in the 26th year of the Republic of China (1937), it belonged to the Second District of Pengxi; in the 30th year of the Republic of China (1941), it established changkai Township Office, which was under the jurisdiction of 17bao.

In 1958, changkai commune was composed of 48 senior communes; in 1959, Luozhen 16 brigade was set up to form Luozhen commune; in 1961, zouyang 12 brigade was set up to form Huaxi commune; in May 1984, changkai commune was changed to Changkai township; in early 1986, Changkai township was changed to changkai town.
