Jiuhua Spring Festival is a well preserved traditional farming season custom in waichen village, Jiuhua Township, Kecheng District, Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Wutong Ancestor Hall is the main place for the Spring Festival.

The main sacrificial activities include: offering sacrifices to the spring God gumang, greeting the spring, receiving blessings and praying for a bumper harvest of grain, offering sacrifices, playing the role of mang God, burning incense, binding spring cattle, performing for gods, outing, whipping spring cattle, etc.

Whip spring cattle is an important part of the whole spring festival activities, and the selected people dress up as the awn God whip to beat spring cattle. Local officials in charge of the line incense ceremony, said to persuade farmers to start spring plowing. The ceremony expressed people's expectation for good weather, good harvest and peace of the country and the people.
