Introduction to Jingdong Dagu

Jingdong Dagu is a kind of drum music sung in Jingdong dialect. In different periods and popular places, it has been named "Pinggu Dagu", "leting Dagu", "Siping Dagu", "tiepiandagu" and "Tieban Dagu". During the middle period of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty, it was first established in the rural areas of Sanhe, Baodi and Xianghe in the east of Beijing, and then spread widely in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. During the performance, one person stands and sings, with his left hand hitting the board and his right hand beating the drum as the festival, accompanied by musicians. Its singing adopts the plate cavity structure, and the commonly used plates include the head plate, the second plate, the Allegro, the lock plate and so on.

There are more than 100 traditional books of Jingdong Dagu, including more than 30 long works such as Shi Gongan, Yang Jiajiang, Da Bayi, more than 20 medium works such as shuilao shuangheyin, Sanquan Town, Luo tongsaobei, short lyrics such as blind man shopping, Wang Erjie Sifu, Wang Sanjie goucai, and Wang Po scolding chicken《 There are more than 40 works, such as Yang Bajie's birthday worship, whipping the reed flower, and nearly 20 books, such as two heads are busy, the ancient name of the 13th month, and the tiger eats the cat. Jingdong drum reflects the characteristics of folk culture in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, and has important reference value in the study of folklore, linguistics, art, history and culture. This valuable folk drum music art has no successor and is on the verge of being lost, which is in urgent need of protection and inheritance.
