A brief introduction of Daur uqin
Declaration area or unit: Heilongjiang Province
Wuqin of Daur nationality, also known as "WuChun", is a form of Quyi storytelling of Daur nationality. It is formed and popular in meilisdaur District, Fularji District, Fuyu County and Longjiang County of Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, Molidawa Daur Autonomous Banner, Hulunbeier League, higuitu banner of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Xinjiang Uygur Tacheng area and other Daur settlements.
Wuqin was originally a narrative poem written in Manchu by Daur literati in the Qing Dynasty and read aloud in recitation tune. Later, folk artists performed these works orally, so wuqin gradually evolved into a kind of folk art with the meaning of "story chanting or story telling". Wuqin's first performance was mostly singing by mouth, but later artists used "huachangsi" (four stringed harp) to play and sing by themselves. In addition to the original recitation tune, narrative songs and singing tunes are also used. Wuqin's programs are rich in content, including telling the story of the national hero Mo rigen, reflecting love and marriage life, singing the scenery of his hometown, and telling myths, fairy tales and legends. Among these programs, the stories reflecting the historical achievements of the national hero Mo rigen, shaolang and Daifu with epic character, and the stories adapted from the Han classics romance of the Three Kingdoms and outlaws of the marsh are most popular among the Daur people. The capacity of the program varies in length. The elderly can rap for a few days and nights, or for a few minutes to a few hours.
Most of the traditional wuqin performances are performed during festivals and auspicious days. The audience gather on the Kang of folk houses and sit cross legged to listen to the performers. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, a large number of works have appeared to sing about the new life and new era, such as sere's wuqin repertoire "singing hero Huang Jiguang", "mother of the motherland", "Ode to Beijing" and the late famous wuqin artist he RI Getu's "the origin of an iron barrel" and "since meeting chairman Mao".
Wuqin has a distinctive national style and regional cultural characteristics, and has always been loved by the majority of Daur people. However, in the new historical period, its survival and development have met serious challenges, and it is in an endangered state, so we need to take corresponding measures to support and protect it.
