Tomb of Li Zicheng in Xianning

At the foot of Jiugong Mountain in Tongshan County, niuzhuoling. Li Zicheng (1606-1645), leader of peasant uprising in late Ming Dynasty. His real name is Hongji, a native of Mizhi in Shaanxi Province. According to records, in the early summer of the second year of Yongchang in Dashun (1645), he went from Wuchang to Nanjing. Due to the reversal of the situation, his journey was blocked, that is, he went to Jiangxi via Jiugong Mountain. He did not intend to break through lijiapu at the foot of the mountain. He was attacked by the Qing army and broke through in a hurry. He strayed into huluchao and was killed by Cheng Jiubo, the brave leader of xiaoyuankou village. So he was buried here. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it has been repaired for many times, and additional ancillary buildings such as arch bridge, terrace, flower bed, tombstone, exhibition hall and rest hall have been built. The inscription "Li Zicheng's tomb" on the tombstone is inscribed by Guo Moruo. At the back of the tomb stands Xiama Pavilion. Nearby are ruins such as luoyindang and jizhanpo. Nanhong bridge is on the Ligang River, 16 kilometers southeast of Tongcheng county. It is named for its shape like a rainbow and its location in the south of Tanghu lake. Built in 1857, it is one of the famous stone bridges in the city. It is 40 meters long, 5 meters high and 5 meters wide. The design is generous, the structure is solid and magnificent. After more than a hundred years of wind and rain, it has remained the same. Rippling blue waves, trees on the shore, haze, different scenery.
