COSCO International City is jointly built by COSCO, the largest international ocean shipping company in China, and Taicang City

Taicang COSCO International City is jointly built by China Ocean Shipping (Group) Corporation, the largest international ocean shipping enterprise in China, and Taicang City, with a total area of 40 square kilometers, including 20 square kilometers of port area and 9.7 kilometers along the river coastline. The initial project of reclamation and multipurpose wharf with a total investment of 370 million yuan has been approved and officially started by the provincial government. The whole grand project across the century will build a comprehensive modern international city with complete functions, relying on the port, high technology, Riverside industry and international shipping as the main body, supplemented by transportation, trade, finance, insurance, tourism, scientific research, information, education and health supporting service facilities within 16 years.
