"Guoyu · Zhengyu" says: "the surnames of Wu, he, Lu and Biyang, the surnames of Cao, Zou and Ju are guards, either in the royal family or in the Yidi". It can be seen that Biyang, Cao and other states with the surname of Li are all vassal states in the Zhou Dynasty. In the spring and Autumn Annals, the tenth year of Duke Xianggong of Lu (563 BC): in spring, the states of Lu, Jin and song united to attack Biyang. Because the city was small and solid, it was destroyed in May of Xia. Forced to break the city, the monarch was captured, forced to return to the Song Dynasty. Qi destroyed song and returned to Qi, then to Chu. Fuyang county was established in Qin Dynasty, which was abolished in Han and Jin Dynasties.

In the old city and in the east of the city, there are many pieces of pottery scattered on the ground, mainly gray pottery, mostly beans, pots and so on. Besides plain surface, some pottery is decorated with rope pattern and concave convex pattern. Unearthed cultural relics include brick, tile, tile, iron slag, copper sword, copper arrow, copper seal, etc. Stone tools are occasionally found. According to the miscellaneous records of Yi county annals written by Guangxu of Qing Dynasty, "there are many ancient pottery in Yi area, but the brick of forcing Yang is used as the armour. It is clumsy and has no writing. It is more than one foot long and half wide. Its quality is stronger than that of gold and stone. If people get inkstones, they will be ruled by the people, and the blade will not enter. " Therefore, in the south of the city, there are many ancient tombs in the shade of mountains, and there are often stone portraits.
