Development history

Sanhe horse is beautiful in appearance, strong in physique, sensitive in movement, and has the characteristics of fast running speed, strong pull and strong endurance. It has been introduced in primary school textbooks as one of the three famous horses in China, together with Hequ horse and Yili horse. Sanhe horse is a crossbreeding and improvement of Russian post Baikal horse, Mongolian horse and British thoroughbred horse. It has been domesticated for more than 100 years. It is mainly produced in Sanhe area of Erguna City, and hence its name. In 1986, China issued the national standard of Sanhe horse, officially named "Sanhe horse in Inner Mongolia".
