Suzhou Aquarium is located at No. 28, huantaihu Avenue, Taihu Lake National Tourist Resort, Suzhou. The first phase of Taihu Lake water world project includes three theme parts: aquarium, diving hall and Ocean theater. There are rare marine animals from all oceans in the world.

As soon as you enter the aquarium, one of the features of Suzhou Aquarium is the display of freshwater fish in the Yangtze River and Taihu Lake Basin. It is said that this is the only freshwater display area in China with fish from the Yangtze River and Taihu Lake as the main species. In this freshwater exhibition area, there are Chinese sturgeon, Yangtze River swordfish and all kinds of fishes in Taihu Lake.

In the marine animal exhibition area, you can see rare marine organisms from the Red Sea, Indian Ocean, South Pacific and other oceans around the world. Walking through the long transparent circular tunnel, tourists immediately have the feeling of being on the scene.

There is also a leading indoor diving hall in Asia. The water volume of the diving hall is 1800 tons and the water depth is 15.8 meters. It truly restores the original 40-60m deep underwater coral environment of Maldives, and is equipped with a certain amount of biological load, so that tourists can swim freely and have a close contact with fish. Four Japanese bottlenose dolphins and two South American seals are likely to be the most attractive ones in the aquarium. After a short training, they have brought wonderful programs to tourists in the Ocean theater. In addition to animal performances, the Ocean theater will also stage water ballet, acrobatics, song and dance and other colorful activities.

Urban tourists can drive along Sunwu road to huantaihu avenue to Xishan via Mudu Xukou.

Foreign tourists can go to Xishan exit via Suzhou Ring Expressway (Suzhou Shaoxing Expressway) and turn right to Xishan of huantaihu Avenue.
