Huanggangliang National Forest Park

Huanggangliang is the highest peak in Daxinganling, with an altitude of 2029 meters. Huanggangliang National Forest Park is located in the northeast of Keshiketeng Banner, Inner Mongolia. Huanggangliang area has preserved the most complete form of Quaternary glaciers, and has various types. It is a typical valley glacier. Huanggangliang National Forest Park is located in the northeast of Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia. In August 1996, huanggangliang National Forest Park was officially approved by the Ministry of forestry of the people's Republic of China. In the same year, the overall planning and design of the park was completed by the school of landscape architecture of Beijing Forestry University. After three years of fund-raising.

Since 2000, it has been invested and constructed, and now it has the ability to receive 80 people for accommodation at one time. The second phase construction will be completed before 2004, when the reception capacity and service level of the park will be greatly improved.

Huanggangliang National Forest Park is 300 km away from Chifeng City, 180 km away from Xilinhot City and 420 km away from Beijing. It has convenient transportation and is the golden season for tourism from June to October every year.

Huanggangliang international hunting ground covers an area of 320000 mu.

glacier

There are many glacial relics in the park, including Artu ice stone forest formed by glacial movement. Huanggangliang area preserves the most complete form of Quaternary glaciers with various types. It is a typical valley glacier. On both sides of huanggangliang, there are glacial relics such as ice bucket, U-shaped Valley, Jiaofeng, terminal moraine dike, lateral moraine dike, streaked stone Boulder, which are called Quaternary glacial relics of ice Valley Forest sea.

Landscape types

(1) The natural forest landscape is mostly Larch or spruce forest, with vigorous growth of trees and rich forest atmosphere, which is a rare natural forest community in northern part of the Great Wall.

(2) Betula platyphylla and Populus davidiana forest are distributed along the natural undulating terrain. The landscape features are that the birch and Populus davidiana are mostly in the form of several clumps, forming a rich plant community landscape.

(3) The grassland landscape of coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest is mainly open grassland, but birch forest, Populus davidiana forest, spruce forest, broad-leaved pine and open grassland echo each other, forming rich layers and open and close space

Development status

Experts and scholars from Japan and China have visited huanggangliang for many times. In 2001, the Chinese branch of UNESCO Man and biosphere annual meeting was held in huanggangliang National Forest Park. At the same time, the park was approved by the National Committee of Chinese man and biosphere to be included in the network of biosphere reserves in China.

Recreational activities

The park has carried out a variety of activities such as sightseeing, collection, riding and shooting, fishing, skating, skiing, boating, bird watching, hunting and so on. Cultural and recreational activities include bonfire party, Mongolian folk song and dance appreciation, etc.
