Applicant: Nanmulin County, Tibet Autonomous Region
Nanmulin tubujiaxiqin, also known as "cijiu (meaning the 10th day of the Tibetan calendar) Xieqin", was founded by the eighth Panchen danbeiwangqiu. It is a kind of special folk dance in the grand welcoming and seeing off activities held by the Panchen on their way to zashilunbu temple in Xizang. It is popular in Nanmulin County of Shigatse. In Tibetan, "harmony" means singing and dancing, and "Qin" means grand or grand. Nanmulin tubujiaxiqin originated in the fifth year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1855), which has a history of more than 150 years. It is a combination of singing and dancing. It is mainly performed in grand celebrations held by the living Buddha and the upper class. It has strong participation and self entertainment, and is loved by the Tibetan people.
Nanmulin tubujiaxiqin is mainly composed of songs and dances. Its performance has a strong Tibetan flavor. Its lyrics are diversified, including classical literati poems and folk songs. In the performance, most of them have relatively standard structures and musical forms, and each set has its own rules for debugging, gesture, melody, rhythm and speed. Men's and women's clothing has strong ethnic customs and strong visual impact in Tibet. There are 25 pieces of the lyrics of tubujiaxiqin, which are said to be created by the eighth Panchen danbei Wangqiu.
With rich and colorful words and phrases, simple and sincere tunes, solemn and elegant performances and warm and orderly rhythms, tubujiaxiqin expresses his good wishes for good weather, good harvest and good luck. Its costumes and props are elegant and solemn, and its manifestation is simple and honest. These folk dance skills are the crystallization of the wisdom of the working people, contain rich artistic genes, and are an extremely valuable historical heritage. They are also an important carrier for the study of Tibetan religious history, cultural history, and aesthetic history. They are also of great significance for enriching and perfecting the study of Tibetan history. The excavation and protection of tubujiaxiqin will have a far-reaching impact on the promotion of local folk art and the coordinated development of local traditional culture and economic society. At present, this national folk dance is in an endangered state, lack of inheritance, urgent need to protect and support.
