Wulian spring

Wulian spring, located in the west of Pipa spring in Jinan and in the center of the South Moat between Renquan and nanzhenzhu spring, is one of the 14 spring pools of Heihu spring group, but it does not belong to the category of 72 Famous Springs in Jinan. The name of the spring is inscribed by Ma Zikai, a famous contemporary calligrapher.

Wulian spring

Wulianquan pool is about half a meter above the river. There are many springs at the bottom of the pool. There are five larger ones. The bubbles are in clusters. They rise to the surface of the water and burst out of the pool. They are like five blooming lotus flowers, so they are named wulianquan. Because the spring pool is located in the middle of the river and far from the shore, it is also called "spring in the stream". When the spring flows into the river, the green wave and the water flow into the water, and the two water waves overlap, forming a wonderful scene of "flow in the flow and water in the water", which is deeply impressed by the charm of "spring and river depend on each other".

The spring pool was renovated in 1965. It is a square flat bank, surrounded by two layers of stone. The upper layer is 0.5 meters higher than the river surface, and the lower layer is 0.3 meters higher than the river surface. From a distance, it looks like a piece of flat glass. The old Jinan is commonly known as "glass pool". The spring water flows up the pool mouth, overflows all around, and then falls into the river, like a curtain. When the water level of the moat drops, the spring flows straight down, like a curtain The same as the waterfall. In 1986, the platform and the mouth of the spring pool were removed and changed into a curved bank to stack natural stones. The rocks are mainly concentrated and piled up to form an island, which is higher than the water surface. The spring water overflows from the stone cracks on the island and flows into the river. At the same time, the riverbanks in the West and south of the pool were also demolished, making the riverbanks farther away from the spring. Visitors need to use the cruise ship to see its "beauty". In May 1985, "Wulian Pavilion" was built on the South Bank of the spring. It is composed of pavilions, platforms, corridors and pavilions. It has a large scale and constitutes a group of unique landscapes.
