Nanjing Letu subtropical rainforest nature reserve is located 151 km away from national highway 319 (145 km away from Xiamen), with an altitude of 280-394 meters and an area of 21.3 hectares. It is the smallest Nature Reserve in the province and the smallest primitive plant community in the southeast coast of China. There are more than 1100 kinds of plants and 80 kinds of birds in the area. There are more than 10 kinds of rare plants in the forest. Among them, the most precious cimiaoling is listed as a first-class protected plant by the state, and is praised as a living fossil paradise by scientists.
