After Shi Kefa died a martyr, his hat and boots were buried here, and a "martyr's temple" was built in the east house of Shi's ancestral hall.

Shi Kefa (1602-1645 A.D.) was a well-known politician and strategist in the late Ming Dynasty. He was a good official with outstanding achievements. In 1637-1639 (from July of the 10th year of Chongzhen to the summer of the 12th year of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty), Shi Kefa was appointed as the censor of Youjin capital. He toured the four prefectures of Anqing, Luzhou, Taiping and Chizhou, and Henan, Huguang and Jiangxi were adjacent to the prefectures and counties. He was stationed in liuanzhou. Shi Kefa was born in 1602, the 30th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, in Xiangfu county (now Kaifeng City), Henan Province. He was a famous politician in the late Ming Dynasty because of his incorruptness and outstanding achievements. In the first year of Hongguang (1645), Shi Kefa was a great scholar of Baidong Pavilion and a minister of the Ministry of war. Duoergun, the Regent of the Qing Dynasty, attacked Yangzhou with tens of thousands of people and tried to persuade him to surrender many times. However, history can't do it. He lost Yangzhou because he was outnumbered. Before committing suicide, he was captured and died at the age of 44. Yangzhou was the first city in the south of the Yangtze River to resist the Qing army. It was also the first time that the Qing army met the strong resistance of the army and the people. In order to retaliate against the people of Yangzhou, the Qing people also wanted to make an example, so Duoduo ordered that the burning, killing and looting lasted for ten days. After the destruction of Yangzhou City, Shi Kefa died 12 days ago. Because of the hot weather at that time, his body was rotten and could not be identified.

After the Qing soldiers entered the pass, Shi Kefa once advocated to make peace with them and discuss Li Zicheng's peasant army. Later, Ma Shiying and others pushed him out, so he supervised Huaiyang and tried his best to coordinate the generals of the four towns in Jiangbei to resist the Qing army. In 1645 (the second year of Shunzhi), Prince Duoduo of Henan in Qing Dynasty besieged Yangzhou. Shi Kefa refused to surrender and defended the city. Later, he was defeated and died. Duo Duo ordered the massacre of Yangzhou people because of the heavy casualties of Qing army. The massacre lasted for 10 days, known as "Yangzhou 10 days". After the destruction of Yangzhou City, Shi Kefa died 12 days ago. Because of the hot weather at that time, his body was rotten and could not be identified. The following year, shikefa's adopted son shidewei was buried in meihualing, Yangzhou. Qianlong 41 years (1776) in the first month after the posthumous title "Zhongzheng.". Therefore, the inscription on the memorial archway is "Shi Zhongzheng cemetery".

Travel

Shikefa's tomb is located in Lu'an, Anhui Province. The southern part of Lu'an is mountainous, and the northern part is plain. The climate is cold in winter and hot in summer. In winter, the lowest temperature can reach about - 10 ℃, in summer, it can reach about 30 ℃, and the limit temperature can reach more than 40 ℃. Between June and July is the Meiyu season, with heavy rainfall. It is suggested to visit in March and April in spring.

Zaoshu township is called Sanshipu town. There is a bus from Lu'an City to Sanshipu every day. When you get to Sanshipu Town, you can get to gulutang, Shici village by taking the bus with Lu'an's special side.
