Guanqing villa was built in 1916 by Huang Zhongxun, an overseas Chinese from Vietnam, who bought land at yanzaijiao in rikuangyan. In 1927, he began to build Xilin villa in the northwest of riguangyan, which was completed in 1932. The building is made of clear water red brick wall, which presents the common facade design style of overseas Chinese building on Gulangyu Island in the early 20th century.
