SUOXIYU scenic spot

SUOXIYU is located in the northeast of Wulingyuan scenic spot. The military terrace of Wulingyuan District People's government is in the center of the scenic spot. SUOXIYU is a phonetic translation of Tujia, which means "Suo" is fog, "Xi" is big, "Yu" is villa, so it really means "fog big villa".

The scenic spot is basin shaped, surrounded by high schools and low mountains. The main features of the landscape are beautiful peaks, quiet valley, green water, and Dongao. SUOXIYU Nature Reserve has developed 8 small scenic spots, including Xihai, Shili Gallery, shuiraoximen, Huanglong cave, Baizhang gorge, Baofeng lake, etc. High standard pedestrian paths, such as lvzhe mountain villa Tianzishan, Shili Gallery wolongling Xihai, Tiantai Baofeng bridge, yingwozhai Baofeng lake cruise terminal, have been built, with a total length of 9.4km.

Huanglong Cave: Huanglong cave has four floors, covering an area of 20 hectares, with a vertical height of more than 100 meters. There are 1 reservoir, 2 rivers, 3 waterfalls, 4 pools, 13 halls, 46 corridors in the cave, as well as countless stalagmites, stone pillars, stone mantles, stone flowers and stone waterfalls. Among all the stalactites, the dinghaishen needle and the throne of the Dragon King are the most magical. The dinghaishen needle is 19.2 meters high, 10 cm in diameter, transparent and straight to the top of the palace. In 1998, the stone pillar was insured for 100 million yuan, creating a precedent for a part of the world natural heritage landscape.

Baofeng Lake: Baofeng lake is 2.5km long and 2km south of Suoxi town. The canyon here is deep, and the clear lakes reflect the mountains. The water is greener because of the mountains, and the mountains are clearer because of the water. Baofeng lake has been leased and managed by Baoli Industrial Co., Ltd. the developed scenic spots are Gaoxia Pinghu, yingwo ancient village, cliff waterfall, yixiantian Canyon, etc.
