Beijing Business University

Beijing Industrial and Commercial University is a multi-disciplinary university in Beijing. It was established in June 1999 by the merger of the former Beijing Institute of light industry (established in 1958) and Beijing Business University (established in 1950). The university has 41 undergraduate majors, 5 second bachelor's degree majors, 31 master's degree programs and 1 doctor's degree program, covering 8 disciplines, including science, engineering, literature, law, economics, management, philosophy and history, including 9 ministerial key disciplines, 2 Beijing key disciplines, 4 Beijing key construction disciplines, 2 national inspection centers and 1 national inspection center Beijing Municipal Key Laboratory. At present, there are more than 400 teachers with senior professional titles, and teachers with master's degree or above account for 61% of the total number of full-time teachers. The school covers an area of 1.029 million square meters (1543 mu), with a school building area of 600000 square meters. The school is divided into Liangxiang campus, Fucheng Road Campus and Baiyun Road Campus, among which Liangxiang Campus (covering an area of 1210 mu) is located in Beijing Fangshan Liangxiang Higher Education Park, which is one of the key construction projects in Beijing. The newly built Liangxiang campus is a solemn, elegant, beautiful and generous modern campus which embodies the characteristics of the times and the style of the century. In October 2004, the first phase project of Liangxiang campus was completed and put into use. Nearly 9000 undergraduate students of Grade 2003, 2004 and 2005 have successfully moved into the new campus.
