Liaoyuan vocational and Technical College

Liaoyuan vocational and technical college is a public and specialized college approved by the Ministry of education on July 26, 1999. The predecessor of the college was founded in 1958, and it has experienced Liaoyuan mining college, Liaoyuan mining college, Liaoyuan Coal Industry School and Jilin industry school, and has a history of 50 years. In 2004, the college was identified by the Ministry of education and the Ministry of construction as one of the 71 construction industry skilled talents training engineering schools in China. In 2005, the college was identified by the Ministry of education and the Ministry of finance as one of the state funded coal mine safety training base construction schools. In 2006, the college successfully passed the Ministry of education's evaluation of higher vocational talents training level, and in 2007, it was identified as the first batch of key colleges by Jilin Provincial Department of education In 2008, it was awarded advanced collective by Jilin Science and Technology Association, and the college was awarded spiritual civilization unit and green ecological campus by Jilin provincial government for many years.

The college has 318 faculty members, including 202 full-time teachers. Among the full-time teachers, there are 87 professors and associate professors, 63 lecturers and 83 double qualified teachers. Teachers' educational background structure and professional title structure are higher than the national standard. The college covers an area of 269098 square meters and a building area of 125056 square meters. At present, the total value of teaching equipment is 22.41 million yuan, and the library has 273300 books. There are 30 experimental and training rooms with complete functions in the school. There are 20 off campus training bases, with a campus network with smooth information and rich resources.

The college has 5300 full-time students. It is open to enrollment in 20 provinces and autonomous regions of China, with full-time higher vocational education as the main part and adult education as the main part. There are 24 specialties in higher vocational education.

In 2009, the college enrolled senior high school graduates who took part in the general college entrance examination in accordance with the relevant provisions of the provincial Enrollment Office; continued to recruit graduates from secondary technical schools, technical schools and vocational schools who took part in the corresponding entrance examination, and issued college diploma upon graduation. The college implements the system of national scholarship, inspirational scholarship, financial aid and loan, and subsidizes the extremely poor students to provide convenient conditions for students to work and study. The college has a student employment guidance center, which takes the initiative to cooperate with enterprises in the Bohai rim economic circle and the Yangtze River Delta region, carries out "order type" training with some well-known enterprises, establishes school enterprise cooperation relations in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Dalian, Shenyang and other places, recommends students' employment, and creates favorable conditions for students' employment.

The college has identified three key professional groups of mining, mechanical and electrical engineering and construction, and many courses of the college have been rated as excellent courses by Jilin Provincial Department of education. Our students have participated in the National Mathematical Modeling Contest for college students and the basic language skills contest for college students in Jilin Province, and won many awards.

The college attaches great importance to the development of international education and teaching exchange activities, and has established cooperative school running relations with Korea's huwon University, Canada's Kane college Mary branch, Russia's vorogda State Institute of technology, and celebovitz National University.
