Fushun Teachers College

Fushun normal college was founded in 1978, formerly known as Fushun normal college, is a Municipal Local College approved by the Ministry of education. In 1993, it was renamed Fushun teachers college. In July 1998, Fushun normal school and Fushun art kindergarten normal school were merged into our school, which further expanded the teaching staff and school scale.

The school is located in the east of gaoershan Park, Shuncheng District, Fushun City, with a long history. It is a garden style school that is evergreen all the year round. Over the years, the school has adhered to the socialist direction of running a school, vigorously promoted quality education, formed the school spirit of "morality, talent cultivation, pragmatism and innovation" and the study style of "inspirational, diligent, truth-seeking and talent cultivation", and explored the training mode of "moderate foundation, strengthening skills, improving quality and multiple abilities for one specialty". Since its establishment, the university has trained more than 38200 qualified talents for the national and provincial economic and social development. The school has 527 teaching staff, including more than 130 professors and associate professors, and more than 5800 students (including more than 4600 full-time students).

Since entering the new century, facing the new situation of normal education structure adjustment and college enrollment expansion, the university has determined the development orientation of "normal major coexisting with higher vocational major, strengthening normal major and optimizing higher vocational major". The normal major cultivates primary school teachers with all-round development of morality, intelligence, sports and beauty to meet the needs of the reform and development of basic education; the higher vocational major cultivates high skilled talents and higher technology applied talents with strong practical ability, good professional ethics and innovative spirit to meet the needs of the first line of production, construction, management and service. The school has 13 teaching departments, including Chinese and Tourism Department, biochemistry department, computer department, preschool education department, music department, fine arts department, English Department, primary education department 1, primary education department 2, electro-optic Engineering Department, physical education department, basic department and social science department, with a total of 22 Majors. Among them, the major of biological practical technology is the pilot major of teaching reform in higher vocational education, and the major of tourism service and management, decoration art design, computer application and maintenance is the pilot major of teaching reform. There are 101 students in the postgraduate class of the same level of Education jointly held with Liaoning Normal University. The university has the qualification to recruit Chinese language and literature students. There are more than 60 Korean and Japanese students studying in our university, and there are 12 international students at present.

The school covers an area of 153734 square meters, with a building area of 74689 square meters. It has modern teaching facilities, various professional classrooms, laboratories, simulation training rooms and training bases, including 18 multimedia classrooms, projection classrooms, voice rooms, micro classrooms and studios. The school has a large biochemical training base of more than 2000 square meters, worth more than 500000 yuan of rare animals and plants The well-equipped stadiums, canteens and student apartments provide good conditions for ensuring the quality of personnel training. The professional training bases established by the University in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang, Ningbo and other cities create a broad space for students' practice and employment.   

The school has been rated as a provincial civilized unit for three consecutive times, and has won the honorary titles of provincial safe and civilized campus, provincial advanced collective of propaganda and ideological work in Colleges and universities, provincial advanced collective of acting parents, municipal advanced collective, municipal top ten unit of professional ethics, municipal model unit of propaganda and ideological work, municipal advanced unit of Communist Youth League work, municipal advanced unit of education system, and municipal advanced unit of Lei Feng in education system.
