Hebei rail transit vocational and technical college is a full-time ordinary higher vocational college, which is approved by the Hebei provincial government and filed by the Ministry of education, and is subordinate to the Department of human resources and social security of Hebei Province. It implements higher vocational education, technical secondary school education and technician education, and has distinctive characteristics in the rail transit industry and is oriented to the national enrollment.

Historical inheritance: the college, formerly known as the "staff School of the Ministry of Railways", was founded in July 1949. It has experienced the transition from "Shijiazhuang intermediate technical school of the Ministry of Railways", "Shijiazhuang Railway College", "Shijiazhuang Railway Transportation School of Beijing Railway Bureau" to "Shijiazhuang railway transportation school". With the development of vocational education, the former Shijiazhuang railway driver school and the former Technical School of Hebei labor and social security department were merged into Shijiazhuang railway transportation school in 2000 and 2007 respectively. In February 2012, the college was born relying on the strong strength of Shijiazhuang railway transportation school and the resources of Zhongbo Technology Development Co., Ltd. (formerly known as Shijiazhuang tractor factory).

School resources: the college covers a total area of 514 mu, with a construction area of 220000 square meters and complete school supporting facilities. Currently, there are nearly 600 teaching staff, including 10 teaching institutions, such as the Department of rail transportation, the Department of rail locomotives, the Department of rolling stock, the Department of urban rail transit, the Department of passenger service, the Department of mechanical and electrical engineering, the Department of management engineering, the Department of basic teaching, the Department of teaching and scientific research of Ideological and political theory course, and the College of adult education.
