Henan Technical College of Construction

Henan Construction Vocational and technical college was founded in 1958, formerly known as Henan construction workers University. In 1982, with the approval of Henan Provincial People's government and the record of the former State Education Commission, it became an independent full-time public adult college. In 1998, he cooperated with Henan Construction Engineering School. In 2002, general higher vocational education was approved by provincial education department. In March 2008, approved by the people's Government of Henan Province and reported to the Ministry of education for the record, it was restructured into Henan Construction Vocational and technical college. It is the only construction college in the independent ordinary higher vocational and technical college in Henan Province, and now belongs to the Department of construction of Henan Province. Since its establishment, the college has always adhered to the socialist school running direction, comprehensively implemented the party's education policy, took serving the economic and social development of Henan Province as its own responsibility, based on the construction industry, facing the whole society, took the development road of combining production with learning, and made great efforts to explore the training ways of high skilled talents, formed its own school running characteristics, and continuously improved its school running strength and level.

The old campus is located at 199 Zhongyuan Middle Road, Zhengzhou City, and the new campus is located at Gongye Road, Mazhai Industrial Development Zone, Zhengzhou city. It covers a total area of 626.2 mu, with a total construction area of 241000 square meters and a total value of 22.593 million yuan of teaching equipment.

The college has 7 teaching departments, including civil engineering department, architecture department, engineering management department, equipment engineering department, information engineering department, foundation department and continuing education center. It has 15 general higher vocational majors such as architectural engineering technology and architectural decoration engineering technology, 2 adult specialty, and more than 5000 full-time students.

The college has a high-quality teaching staff, with more than 230 teachers, including 182 full-time teachers, 71 senior professional titles, 2 provincial vocational education and teaching experts, 6 provincial academic and technical leaders, 3 members of the professional Steering Committee of the Ministry of construction, and 63 double qualified teachers with national registered architects, constructors, structural engineers, cost engineers and other qualifications.

The college library has 379000 books, including 307000 paper books, 72000 e-books and 290 Chinese and foreign periodicals. The library's book borrowing and inquiry work has realized the computer automatic management. Our hospital has also built a Gigabit Campus Network to connect the two campuses, covering all the buildings of the hospital, and all the information points of the hospital have realized online resource sharing. The college has good practical teaching conditions, and has 47 experimental and practical training places, which is the test center for computer application ability and CET-4. The Institute's architectural planning and design office, construction engineering quality inspection station, national vocational skill appraisal station and other social service institutions, as well as 53 stable off campus practice and training bases, have opened up a broad stage for students' experiment, practice, skill training and various social practice activities.

After 50 years of vocational education, the college adheres to the motto of "building a broad building by virtue and building a foundation by learning". It has established the school running concept of "education first, quality first, employment based and ability strengthening". It has built students' working ability, management ability, innovation ability and continuous learning ability by "work study combination and school enterprise cooperation". The college has established a long-term and stable school enterprise cooperation relationship with hundreds of people inside and outside the province. The graduates have become the leaders and backbone of large and medium-sized construction enterprises in Henan Province, and the employment rate has remained above 95% year after year.
