A brief introduction to a Xie (Dabu a Xie)
Declaration area or unit: Tibet Autonomous Region, e.g. County
"Dabu ahe" means Dabu ramming song in Tibetan. It is spread in Ruju County, Nagqu Prefecture, Tibet. It is said that it was created by the fifth Dabu living Buddha, such as naxiu. It has a history of nearly 100 years.
Dabu living Buddha is a famous Buddhist, philosopher and artist in Tibet. He is proficient in the "five Ming" and has high attainments in Buddhism. In the 1920s, during the construction of Zhude temple, he created dabuaxie with flexible tunes and vigorous steps, which let the workers sing and dance while working, so as to relieve fatigue and boost morale.
Dabuaxie, which integrates song, dance and pleasure, is divided into 31 chapters, involving politics, religion, culture, nature, geography, living customs, etc., including many contents such as philosopher's proverbs, literati's poetry, Prophet's admonition, etc. the performance is full of singing and dancing, full of local color. There are many kinds of singing methods, such as chorus, chorus, solo and so on. The dance skills are rich and colorful, and the formation is changeable. Performers can be single, double, three or more than a hundred people. When there are many people, they stand in two rows in a circle, regardless of men and women. They use AGA (Tibetan falling percussion instrument) to sing and dance. When singing and jumping, you can turn your wrist from time to time, change the formation, hold AGA with your right hand, sing and dance rhythmically while pounding. There are many rhythm changes and forms of singing and dancing, such as love songs and couplet songs. Some dancers tie strings of bells on the labor tools and strike clear strings of bells according to different rhythms.
Dabuaxie combines primitive religion, folk custom, literature, music, dance and other elements, showing various achievements, which has high academic research value. At present, there is no inheritance of folk songs and dances in this ethnic group, so it is urgent to make plans to protect them.
