Hainan Vocational and Technical College of economics and trade, founded in 1984, is a state-owned public and national backbone university that mainly cultivates high-quality technical and skilled talents in finance and economics. It has successively won the national backbone higher vocational colleges, the national vocational college employment competitiveness demonstration school, the top 50 universities with typical employment experience of graduates, the top 50 universities with international education influence, and the National Higher Vocational Colleges' innovation and entrepreneurship work It has been awarded the honorary titles of advanced unit, one of the top 100 competitive Vocational Colleges in China, charming campus of Vocational Colleges in China, the first batch of demonstration schools for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform in Hainan Province, and excellent unit for employment of university graduates in Hainan Province.

Our school is located in Haikou, a beautiful coastal historical and cultural city. It is only ten minutes away from Meilan Airport in Haikou. The traffic is convenient and fast. It is adjacent to Hainan Dongzhaigang Mangrove Nature Reserve, the largest "marine Forest Park" in Asia. It covers an area of 1032 mu. The school has nine colleges, including school of financial management, School of business administration, School of engineering and technology, School of tourism management, School of Humanities and arts, School of international education, School of Marxism, School of continuing education and School of innovation and entrepreneurship, with more than 8600 students. Our students can study for bachelor's degree or master's degree abroad through "2 + 2", "2 + 3" and other segmented training methods; they can also go to UAE, Singapore, South Korea, Maldives and other countries for internship and employment.

Our school adheres to moral education, student-centered, employment and entrepreneurship oriented, and strives to cultivate high-quality technical and skilled talents with high integration of professionalism and vocational skills and all-round development. In the past five years, our students have won the first, second and third prizes of groups and individuals in the national vocational skills competition and various events. The employment rate of graduates is more than 94%, and they have been rated as excellent units for employment of university graduates in Hainan Province for many times.
