Zhenyang gate

Zhenyangmen is the South Gate of Penglai water city, facing south from north. It was built in the ninth year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty. Restored in 1987, the vault of the entrance is 3 meters wide, 5.3 meters high, and 13.75 meters deep. A plaque of "Zhenyang gate" is embedded above the entrance, written by Wu Zuoren.

Zhenyang gate is the South Gate of Penglai water city, facing south from north. It was built in the ninth year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty. The gate tower is long and there are only door openings left.

Restored in 1987, the vault of the entrance is 3 meters wide, 5.3 meters high, and 13.75 meters deep. A plaque of "Zhenyang gate" is embedded above the entrance, written by Wu Zuoren. The gatehouse is a two-story attic, with three-story cornices (commonly known as "three drops of water") on the outside. The roof is covered with glazed tiles, with six animals on the ridge. The wind chimes are attached under the eaves. The gatehouse is surrounded by an open corridor. The bottom of the first floor is as high as the city wall. The outer side of the north and south open corridors is battlements, and the second floor is double eaves. On both sides of Zhenyang gate, about 50 meters of city walls are restored, and a 5000 square meter square is built in front of the gate. Since 1989, the opening ceremony of Penglai Economic and Trade Forum has been held here every year. A welcoming ceremony was also held here for the celebration of world tourism day in 1991.

Penglai to Yantai, 6:00-18:00 a day, 15 minutes a shift, more than an hour, 10 yuan ticket price. Penglai to Qingdao, 5:10-16:00 every day, half an hour, 4 hours, ticket price 36-41 yuan. Penglai to Weifang, 6:00-17:00 every day, an hour, 4 hours, ticket price 26 yuan. Penglai to Jinan, 8 flights a day, 6 hours to reach, Daewoo ticket price 76 yuan, Iveco ticket price 56 yuan. The direct bus from Penglai to Weihai runs three times a day and the ticket price is 24 yuan. Laicheng district is not big, taxi price is the same as Yantai, starting from 5 yuan, can walk 2.9 kilometers. In the urban area (Dengzhou town), a taxi usually costs no more than 8 yuan. If the distance is a little longer, you can negotiate with the driver without using a meter.
