It is said that after Cheng Yaojin arrived in Fuzhou, he once stayed in Haichao temple in Longting, Shuibu, and planted a banyan tree. In order to get a lucky name, Cheng Yaojin also named the banyan tree "Shiba Shiba banyan" according to the famous painting "the painting of eighteen scholars in Qin's Mansion". This record can be found in Gulou District annals: "Haichao Temple faces south, surrounded by walls, and the entrance is patio Next to it is a thousand year old banyan tree inscribed with the words "Cheng Yaojin, general of the Tang Dynasty, planted it himself.". Shiba Shiba banyan is located on the left side of Tianwang Hall of Haichao temple. One side of it is against the cornice of Tianwang hall, and the other side is against the yellow wall and green tiles. Banyan shade blocks out the sun and is green.
