[plant morphology] Vitex trifolia

Erect or climbing deciduous shrubs. Bark light brown, twigs sparsely pubescent. Leaf blade ovate, 5.5-9 cm long, 3.5-5.5 cm wide, apex acuminate or pointed, base rounded or slightly oblique, entire, both sides pubescent. Panicle, terminal, with many flowers; bracts small, linear; calyx tubular, with 5 shallow teeth; corolla tubular, pale yellow, 2-lipped. Drupe globose.

It grows in the mixed forest of hillside and roadside soil bank. It is distributed in southwest, Shaanxi, Hubei, Hunan and other places.
