Qujing Medical College

Qujing medical college was established in February 2006 with the approval of the Ministry of education. The school is located in Xishan Economic and Technological Development Zone, Qujing City, Yunnan Province. The school history can be traced back to 1958, its predecessor is Qujing health school in Yunnan Province. The former graduates of Qujing health school are all over most medical institutions in the province, and many of them have become the backbone of medical and health units.

The school covers an area of 367 mu, with a construction area of 98600 square meters. There are 174 teaching staff, including 134 full-time teachers. There are 10 postgraduates and 42% of them are teachers with deputy senior titles. There are fully functional laboratories, Chinese and Western medicine practice hospitals, each practice hospital has perfect practice management organization, rules and regulations, and a group of instructors with rich clinical experience and teaching ability. The practice hospital can meet the practice requirements of various majors. There is an affiliated general hospital, which is a national third class B hospital. There are 3000 mu of Chinese herbal medicine field training base. The school has established "Yunnan 190 vocational skill appraisal institute" and "Qujing health personnel continuing education center".

The school has 7 general specialties, including clinical medicine, nursing and midwifery, and optometry, pharmacy, laboratory technology and medical imaging technology. There are 2 adult specialties, including clinical medicine and nursing. There are four adult undergraduate programs and two five-year junior college programs.

In addition to the province, the college also enrolls students from Hebei, Hubei, Jiangxi, Chongqing, Sichuan and other 10 provinces, with more than 4000 full-time students. The school has a number of multimedia computer classrooms and multimedia voice classrooms, campus network, closed-circuit television multimedia teaching control system, physiology, pathology, pharmacology comprehensive function laboratory and other audio-visual teaching facilities. The school has 3 experimental buildings and 120 laboratories, which can meet the needs of experiments. The teacher has strong scientific research ability, won one national patent, one science and technology progress award of Health Bureau; three national research projects, one total project, two sub projects; one provincial research project; five school level excellent courses under construction, published 402 papers and participated in 37 textbooks. The Ministry of health of the people's Republic of China has identified our school as one of the eight health schools in China which are supported by the United Nations development program. The school has been awarded "provincial civilized unit" by Yunnan provincial Party committee and government, and "advanced unit of vocational education" by Yunnan Provincial Department of education, labor and social security department and provincial economic and Trade Commission.
