Huang Ye, the master of Buxun Zhai, was born in Xianyou, Fujian Province. In 1988, he was admitted to Fujian Xianyou Ligeng Institute of traditional Chinese painting and began to learn from and study Ligeng. At present, he is a librarian of Fujian literature and History Research Institute, former deputy director of Ligeng Institute of traditional Chinese painting in Xianyou County, national second-class artist, visiting professor of Putian University, member of Chinese poetry society, member of Fujian Art Association, and member of the sixth Putian Municipal Committee of CPPCC. His works have been selected for six times in the National Exhibition of fine Chinese painting and calligraphy in the new century, the National Exhibition of Chinese painting works in 2001, the national Nomination Exhibition of Chinese painting in 2003 and other art exhibitions sponsored or jointly organized by China Artists Association.
