Mawu town

Mawu Town, subordinate to Chongqing Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County, is located in the southeast of Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County. It is adjacent to Puzi Town, Sanyi Township and Taiyuan town of Pengshui County in the East and south, Longtan Township in the West and Huanghe Township in the north. It is 48km away from Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County government, with a total area of 92.82 square kilometers.

At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Mawu town set up Mawu regiment headquarters; in July 2001, Mawu town was established by merging Mawu, Shiliu Township and Chunguang village of Muping township.
