Shaba town

Shaba town is located in the northeast of Yongshun County, Hunan Province, with provincial highway 1841 running through the whole area. It is adjacent to luotaping of Yongbao District in the East, sanjiatian Township in the south, guanba Township in the west, taozixi Township and Shangdongjie township of Sangzhi County in the north, which is the center of three counties. Surrounded by mountains and rivers, the annual average temperature is 17 ℃, with the highest altitude of 920 meters and the lowest altitude of 380 meters.

Shaba, Tujia language is "shanka", which means "where there are many fir trees". Historical evolution

Shaba township was established in 1956 after liberation. Commune was established in 1958. Commune was removed to build Township in 1984. Township was removed to build town in May 2002. In 2005, the villages were merged and the former guanba Township, taozixi Township and Shaba town were merged into Shaba town.
