Dingtang town

Dingtang Town, located in the south central part of Xiangshan County, Zhejiang Province, is adjacent to Shipu town in the East, Xiaotang Township in the south, yuejingyang town in the west, Xinqiao Town in the north, and Changjie town of Ninghai County across the sea. Dingtang town is a plain town with 31300 mu of arable land. Datanghe reservoir, the largest plain reservoir in the county, runs through the town, with beautiful environment, flat terrain, fertile soil, humid climate and rivers.

On July 24, 2019, dingtang town was selected into the list of national strong agricultural towns in 2019.

General situation

It covers an area of 60.66 square kilometers (2017). It has jurisdiction over 1 residential area and 28 administrative villages: dingtang; Dutou, Aodi, jingjia'ao, Xin'ao, taidongtang, xiaowantang, tianyanghu, pubaidun, Yingshan, jinniugang, jiaoheng, zhongzhan, Ningbo Station, Dingshan, Xiaying, Fangqian, yekoushan, zhouao, Shasha, hulumen, Zhongni, Yangao, dawanshan, houyangtang, Caogang, Huagang, shengpingshan and lingyashe. The town government is stationed at 57 Xingding road.

Dingtang town is an agricultural economy oriented town. In recent years, through vigorously adjusting the agricultural industrial structure and actively developing green agriculture, it has formed a leading industry of planting industry with fruits and vegetables as the main part. It is one of the main vegetable producing areas in Ningbo and an important fruit producing area in Xiangshan. It produces citrus, Bayberry and watermelon. Because of the positive interaction between green industry and ecological construction, it was rated as one of the first batch of ecological towns in Ningbo, and actively created provincial ecological towns. In 2004, the total social output value of the town was 982 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 5636 yuan. the "dragon type" vegetable economy is emerging. The area of multiple cropping of vegetables in the town has reached 43000 mu, with an output value of 89000 tons, with green cabbage, purple cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower as the leading varieties. 30000 mu of land in the whole town has been included in the land consolidation project of datanggang irrigation area approved by the Ministry of land and resources. A thousand mu green agriculture demonstration park and a 600 mu water-saving irrigation area have been built, with a shed planting area of 3000 mu. The farmland infrastructure is in the forefront of the county, and has been rated as a municipal pollution-free production base and vegetable basket base. There are 5 vegetable processing enterprises in the town. Ningbo Nengda Food Co., Ltd. is a municipal agricultural leading enterprise and the largest vegetable processing enterprise in Xiangshan County. It produces high-quality freeze-dried and dehydrated vegetables and exports them to European and American markets. The town has a professional fruit and vegetable sales team of 370 people, with more than 20 windows in the main domestic vegetable distribution markets, with an annual sales volume of 50000 tons. construction of green agricultural products processing zone started. Approved by the national development and Reform Commission, the construction of green agricultural products processing zone has been started. The processing zone covers an area of 510 mu, and the investment scale of infrastructure is 40 million yuan. It is the main platform for attracting investment in dingtang Town, and it is also a county-level characteristic industrial community. Now 11 enterprises have been introduced, mainly agricultural products processing enterprises. The town's industrial economy has developed steadily, and has formed an industrial economic pattern dominated by vegetable processing, fine chemical industry and machinery manufacturing and processing.

Emerging industries

Emerging industries are developing rapidly. Shipping industry is in the forefront of the county. In 2004, the transportation capacity of rongning and other three shipping companies exceeded 200000 tons, accounting for 75% of the county's shipping share, with assets of 1 billion yuan and strong strength. in 2005, it is planned to increase the transportation capacity by 300000 tons, striving to become a big shipping town in the county. Datang port runs through the whole town. There are abundant rural tourism resources and ecological agricultural resources on both sides of the town. The north and south of Datang port are respectively connected with China fishing village, Shipu fishing port and Shendiao film and television city. It has very good tourism development conditions and is one of the key areas of ecological leisure tourism in the county.
