Yachang township is a new township separated from Huaping Township in 1987. It is 54 kilometers away from the county seat. It is located at the junction of four counties and five townships (towns) in the northwest of Leye County, Guizhou and Guangxi provinces. It is connected with Huaping town and Luosha Township in the East, Baile Township in Tianlin County in the south, 110 kilometers away from Tianlin County, Hongshuihe town in cexiang County in Guizhou Province in the west, and Zhexiang Township in Wangmo County in Guizhou Province across the river in the north At the end of Longtan Hydropower Station, a national key water control project, the highway from Leye to Tianlin and Yazhe crosses the territory in a "t" shape. The Nanpanjiang River flows from south to north through Weigou, sanzhai and Yating administrative villages in Yachang. The Hongshui River bank line is 42 km. It is close to the Beipanjiang river. It is a convenient channel from Leye County to Guizhou. 95% of the township belongs to earth mountain type, and the soil types are mainly yellow and red Soil, deep soil layer, dry, loose, high fertility, easy to plant a variety of crops.

The township covers an area of 298 square kilometers (including the five branches of the state-owned Yachang Forest Farm), governs 5 administrative villages (including 2 poor villages), 33 natural villages, 48 villager groups, 1631 households, 8217 people in total, inhabiting Zhuang, Han, Buyi and other ethnic groups, of which the Zhuang nationality accounts for 95.2%, 4809 labor force, 1734 female labor force, 12604 mu of cultivated land, 3329 mu of paddy field, 9275 mu of dry land, and 5 people 43 mu, and 1. 13 mu per capita. The relocation of immigrants in the reservoir area of Longtan Hydropower Station involves the inundation of four administrative villages, nine natural villages, 22 villager groups, 708 households and 4042 people. Nine resettlement sites and one primary and secondary school site have been implemented in the whole township. The relocation has been completed on September 20, 2006, and the infrastructure of each resettlement site is under construction.

Economics

In 2006, the total grain output reached 3.0615 million kg, with 372.57 kg of grain per capita, and the per capita net income of farmers was 1478 yuan. Yachang has a vast territory, convenient land and water transportation, large population flow and large passenger flow. There are more than 30 kinds of fish in Hongshui River. The soil is deep and fertile, which is suitable for planting a variety of economic crops and fruits. Agricultural production mainly includes rice and corn. Economic crops mainly include watermelon, sugarcane, banana, citrus, longan and litchi. In winter, sweet corn and vegetables can be developed and planted.
