Brief introduction of carrying songs (Liang Ping Tiao Er Tiao)
Applicant: Liangping County, Chongqing
Carrying songs is a form of folk songs formed in the heavy physical labor such as manual loading and unloading, lifting, pushing and pulling goods. In the collective transportation work, it can play the role of unifying the pace, regulating the breathing and inspiring the mood. Most of the moving songs have no fixed lyrics, and they often lead the crowd or overlap to form a multi voice singing form.
Liangping tiaoer tune is a form of folk music which is popular in Liangping County in the northeast of Chongqing. It is produced in daily production and folk activities. The specific formation time is unknown now. However, judging from various aspects, its development history should not be less than 500 years.
Liang Ping's tiao'er tune existed in the form of labor chant at first. Its lyrics were popular and humorous, and its rhythm was smooth and concise, so it was easy to spread. After hundreds of years of development, it has gradually become a folk humming music form. According to their functions, Liang Ping's tiao'er tune includes three types of tunes: one is the "foot step tune", which is the most popular, the most widely used and the most abundant in content in Liang Ping's tiao'er tune; the other is the "four sedan tune", which is used in carrying a sedan chair. It only roars but does not sing, but it still has a simple rhythm The third is the "dragon bar tune" when carrying the coffin, which is also called "Shangshan tune", with a bleak style. In addition to the "four sedan chair tune", the lyrics of Liang Ping's tiaoer tune are generally four or eight sentences, and a few of them use six sentences. The first, second and fourth sentences rhyme, and the third sentence can be added or not. In addition, Liang Ping's tiaoer tune can also improvise lyrics, which greatly enhances the pertinence of singing.
Liang Ping's tiaorediao is not only a way to relieve fatigue and coordinate the pace of labor, but also an important form of entertainment in the local people's life. It has the research value of folklore, ethnomusicology and many other aspects. In the process of long-term spread, outstanding singers of Liang Ping's tiao'er have emerged constantly.
At present, the popularity of advanced production tools has changed the old traditional production mode of shoulder and back mill. Under this situation, Liang Ping's tiaoer tune gradually lost its previous living environment and its development was hindered. With the death of the old porters, Liang Ping's tiaoer Diao is facing the danger of complete extinction, so the protection and inheritance work is imminent.
