A brief introduction to Southwest Shandong drum music
Applicant: Mudan District, Heze City, Shandong Province
Southwest Shandong drum music is a major branch of North China's drum music. It is mainly distributed in Heze, Jining and Zaozhuang counties (districts) in Southwest Shandong Province, especially in Mudan District, Juye County, Shan county and juancheng County of Heze City. The history of advocacy art in Southwest Shandong can be traced back to the Han Dynasty. The Wu clan ancestral hall in Jiaxiang was built in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. The Han Dynasty stone portraits in the ancestral hall vividly depict the scene of the performance of advocacy music at that time.
Southwest Shandong percussion music is composed of wind and percussion music. According to the performance function, it can be divided into general percussion music, sacrificial music and worship music. The performance form mainly includes marching performance and sitting performance. Suona is the most important instrument in drum music. Its common techniques include overtone, finger flower sound, beat sound, pad sound, air arch sound, air top sound, flower sound, slide sound, etc. The percussion music repertoire of Southwest Shandong has a long history. There are not only Zaju Qupai since Song and Yuan Dynasties, but also a large number of Ming and Qing Xiaoqu, among which the representative repertoire are "a hundred birds to the Phoenix", "lift the sedan chair", "dahetao", "dadiziao", "yizhihua", "suonanzhi".
Southwest Shandong advocacy music is simple and straightforward, bold and vigorous, thick and straight but beautiful and delicate, emitting a strong local flavor, with high artistic and academic research value. It is a wonderful work of art in Southwest Shandong and even in the whole country. At present, due to the changes of social and cultural environment and many other reasons, Southwest Shandong drum music club can not implement systematic and effective management, many excellent songs can not be fully excavated, sorted and protected, the inheritance is deteriorating, the development prospect is worrying, and it is in urgent need of key protection.
