Introduction to the competition of the four sceneries

Duyuan four scenery car competition will be formed in Pingshun County, Changzhi City, Shanxi Province. It is a unique and influential social fire activity which is widely popular in Pingshun and surrounding counties.

Duyuan Sijing car competition will be popular in the Qing Dynasty. During the Xianfeng Period of the Qing Dynasty, old Mr. Niu Liankui wrote a poem and praised it highly: "the four scenic chariots do not count for the year, and the eight villages and five communities spread. During the competition, the three spring scenes will be arranged, and the wine will be tasted in February. After the 24 horse buildings were arranged, several social drums were introduced. East, South, North and West flow, worship danxiao Taiyi fairy. " The poem reflects the grand occasion of the local four scene car activities. In 1938, it was once interrupted because of Japanese invasion of China. On the fourth day of the fourth month of the fourth lunar month in 2005, the nine day Notre Dame Temple competition, which had been interrupted for 66 years, resumed, and the grand scene of the four scenic vehicles reappeared.

The so-called "four views" of the four View car is not the four views of the car itself, but the four ingenious designs of its structure. First, there is only one ape in a large floats, but two oxen drive it; second, there are three wooden poles about 90cm long and 6cm thick, which are made of newly cut wet elm sticks. They can be put on the floats by means of a chain sleeve, so that they can move freely without taking off the shaft; third, the floats with a height of more than 10m only stand on the bottom plate around the four legs of the central wooden frame, without tenon and riveting Fourth, the second and third sections of the floats are the central main frame, which are connected head to head, and four hemp ropes are used to fasten the four sides together. The whole Sijing car, without a mortise or a nail, is tightly tied with hemp rope. In addition to the four View cars, there were Shenjia, shenlou, flag, umbrella, gang, CAITONG, Gong, drum, band and so on.

It is about 5km away from the Jiutian Notre Dame temple in Donghe to the main venue (the center of the circle). In the middle, it has to pass through a soil slope of about 50m long and 45 degrees. The distance and slope of the car make it difficult for the car. But no one has ever heard of a car overturning accident in a competition over the years. Because of the unique four sceneries, there are many visitors along the way. Whether they have participated in the competition and watched the four sceneries car has become a kind of qualification and honor for the local people. Therefore, the proverb "catch up with the competition, die without regret" is still popular among the people.
