The Pangu myth group in Tongbai and Biyang counties of Henan Province mainly includes the creation myth, the myth of human origin, the myth of punishing the evil and promoting the good, and the myth of enshrining the descendants. The content involves the creation of heaven and earth, the destruction of the world, the marriage of rolling mill, the reproduction of human beings, and the embodiment of all things. It reflects the primitive ancestors' worship of nature and their primitive cosmology.

Pangu myth has taken root in the folk activities of Tongbai and Biyang, and has obvious local characteristics. In the long-term inheritance process, Pangu myth is closely related to the local mountains and rivers, natural climate, village buildings, customs and habits, and has a wide spread coverage, reflecting the full integrity and uniqueness.
