Jizhong Sheng wind music (Donghan village Shifan ancient music)

Jizhong Sheng wind music is popular in nearly 30 counties and cities south of Beijing, west of Tianjin and north of Cangzhou and Dingzhou. It is a unique type of percussion music in Jizhong plain. It is commonly known as "concert" among the people. It is also known as "Sheng wind music" because it is mainly played by Guan and Sheng. In addition to Sheng, pipe, flute and other wind instruments, Jizhong Sheng wind instruments also use cloud Gong, drum, cymbal, cymbal, Dangdang and other percussion instruments. The music of Sheng Guan music is divided into three categories: Suite, ditty and independent percussion music. The suite is a major part of the whole playing repertoire because of its long length and complex structure. Jizhong Sheng wind music is spread all over the whole Jizhong plain. Farmers in this area take the village as a unit to perform in local folk activities such as sacrifice and funeral, and inherit it from generation to generation in their own unique way.
Shifan ancient music in Donghan village is a kind of classical music introduced into the folk from the palace of Qing Dynasty. It is widely distributed in Donghan village, lingyunce Manchu and Hui Autonomous Township, Yi County, Hebei Province. It uses a lot of musical instruments, up to 108 pieces at most, so the word "Shi" is used to describe it. Because there are 10 banners in the honor guard team, it is called "Shifan ancient music", also known as "Shifan holy meeting". Shifan ancient music has been handed down for nine generations and has a history of more than 200 years.
In the process of inheritance, the Shifan ancient music in Donghan village combines many elements, such as palace music, Jiangnan Silk and bamboo, etc. there are many kinds of musical instruments used, among which Huobu Si, baqin, Violin and so on are rare ancient musical instruments. The performance forms of Shifan ancient music in Donghan village include walking music and sitting music, which are based on the gongchi score introduced into the folk by the court. The music score includes 25 Wenqu and more than 10 Wuqu. The style is simple, bright and elegant, and the melody is high and graceful. It has the charm of Jiangnan Silk and bamboo, and the characteristics of palace classical music.
The form structure of Shifan ancient music Wenqu can be divided into three types: Zhiqu, Lianqu and Taoqu. Zhiqu is composed of one Qupai, with different length. Shantaohong and wannianhuan belong to this kind. Lianqu is composed of two Qupai, while Taoqu is composed of three or more Qupai according to a certain procedure, which is composed of four Qupai《 Spring, summer, autumn and winter are the representatives. Most of the Wuqu of Shifan ancient music in Donghan village have been lost, and only more than ten have been preserved so far. The Shifan ancient music in Donghan village contains rich information of national music culture, which has a high reference value for the study of ancient music history, instrument development history, especially the palace music of Qing Dynasty. With the development of the times, the traditional way of entertainment has been impacted, and this ancient art has gradually lost its vitality in the past. It is urgent for the relevant parties to make plans for active and effective rescue and protection.
