Yu Garden Lantern Festival is a traditional Lantern Festival folk custom in Songjiang, Shanghai.

The Lantern Festival was popular in Han Dynasty, and the Yangzhou Lantern Festival was introduced to Songjiang by Liu Bi, king of Wu. After the Ming Dynasty, the Lantern Festival in Shanghai today is very common, and the most exciting and exciting place is in Town God's Temple and Yu Garden area of Shanghai County, Songjiang County.

Yu Garden is located in the northwest corner of Town God's Temple, Chengxiang, Shanghai. It is the only Ming Dynasty garden in the old Chengxiang. It is the center of the Lantern Festival in Shanghai.

On the 13th of the first month, the Lantern Festival is divided into "light out", "light gathering", "street walking" (dancing and marching), "light welcoming", "light racing" and "light thanking". On the 18th, the Lantern Festival falls. In the meantime, "Wendeng" and "Wudeng" performances were held on the street. It has become the custom of local residents to hang lights in the house on the day of lighting. "Zou Sanqiao" refers to the Yiqing bridge passing through Xiaodongmen, Changsheng bridge in the south of Tianguan archway and Ruyi bridge in the east of Yimiao on the Lantern Festival, which is especially popular among female tourists.
