Introduction to the 24 solar terms of the lunar calendar

Applicant: Shiqian County, Guizhou Province

"Talking about Spring" is a kind of folk performance activity passed down from generation to generation by the Dong people in Shiqian. At the beginning of spring, they dress up as "spring officials" to talk and sing songs and persuade farmers to work. They wish good weather and plenty of food and clothing.

"Chunguan" was a kind of official in charge of farming affairs in Zhou Dynasty. Later generations of folk rap artists disguised as chunguan performed in rural areas, forming a custom of "chunguan sending spring" to persuade farmers to pray. The rapper is also known as "chunguan". The local custom of saying spring has been recorded in Shiqian Prefecture and county annals of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty. The Dong people in Shiqian have absorbed this custom and passed it on to the present.

Spring usually begins at the beginning of the Spring Festival and ends at the equinox. Spring lyrics are actually singing, with simple tunes, which vary from place to place. "Shuo Chun" can be divided into "Shuo Zheng Chun" and "Shuo Ye Chun". "Shuozhengchun" has a fixed spring Ci, its content is mainly about "24 farming solar terms", "fishing, firewood, farming and reading", covering history, geography, humanities and other aspects. "Shuo Ye Chun" is also known as "Shuo Hua Chun" and "Shuo Hua Chun", which is rich in content, flexible and not stick to one pattern. The main phrases include "Kai Cai men", "Song master", "Shuo Cha", "Jian Zi Da Zi" and so on. "Spring swineherd" hand spring cattle, where to say spring home, all want to send out a lunar calendar, a god of wealth spring paste, intended to persuade farmers to work in spring and wish the owner good luck.

The project is a precious legacy of the traditional folk custom ceremony of agricultural civilization with a long history in China.
