Huaer is a kind of folk song which is widely spread in Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia and Xinjiang. It is a kind of folk song which can only be sung outside the village. It is generally called "Yequ" (as opposed to "Jiaqu" (banquet song) and also called "juvenile". Its singing is divided into two main occasions: daily production, life and "Huaer meeting". "Huaer Festival" is a large Folk Song Festival, also known as "singing mountain".

Danma Hua'er Festival is a traditional mass gathering with certain influence in Huzhu Tu Autonomous County of Qinghai Province. It integrates opera performance, Hua'er singing and commodity trade. It is generally held on June 13 of the lunar calendar every year. It lasts for five days, once a year. It is of great scale and has a profound influence.

Danma town is located in the east of Huzhu Tu Autonomous County, Qinghai Province, where Danma Flower Festival is held. Danma Hua'er Association originated in the late Ming Dynasty and prevailed in the Qing Dynasty, the Republic of China and the early days of the founding of new China. In the 1960s and 1970s, it was considered as a vulgar wild music club and was banned. It was interrupted for a time, and gradually recovered after 1978. According to experts, "Danma flower fair" was originally a traditional temple fair held by the local Tu people to pray for good weather and good harvest. After historical evolution, it has become an important cultural scene to show the folk customs of Tu nationality. Danma Tu Hua'er has common repertoire, such as "Ga Lian Shou Ling", "Huang Hua Jie Ling", "Yang Liu Jie Ling".

The Tu Hua'er in Danma Hua'er concert is an important part of Qinghai Hua'er, with unique national style, rich Tu cultural content and high artistic value.

Danma Huaer Festival has a long history and enjoys a high reputation in the mass cultural activities in Qinghai Province. It is of great significance to protect Danma Huaer club, excavate, rescue and arrange Tu Huaer.
